Manager: Business Continuity - A1L - West Johannesburg

Our client in the telecommunication sector is looking for a Manager: Business Continuity. This is a contract role for 6 months. Mission/ Core purpose of the Job The Manager: Business Continuity is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing companies capability of providing continual end-to-end delivery of Network and IT elements (i.e. RAN, Core, Fixed, Transport, OSS Tools, and IT), on the basis of pre-defined levels that are necessary to recover from disruptions and disaster and resume services timeously. Measures of success include implementation of Technology disaster recovery plans across all OPCOs, length of recovery time taken and adherence to Service Level Agreements established. Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies) Education: Minimum 4-year Academic Degree with Honours (B Eng. / BSc Degree Preferred) Certifications: Certificate of Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) Membership: Associate Member of Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI) or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) Fluent in English (written and oral) Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in implementing Technology Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management plans, coupled with leading and managing high-performance multidisciplinary workgroups or teams to meet goals, across multiple projects 3 years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry Strong background in Network, IT, Business and Risk Management – advantageous Project Management training or experience, with proven competency in executing large projects, on-time and within budget Experience in working across diverse cultures and geographies (advantageous) Experience working in a small to medium organisation Competencies: Conceptual Thinker, Problem Solver, Improvement Driver Culture and Change Champion, Supportive People Manager, Relationship Manager Results Achiever, Operationally Astute Other: Regional and International Travel obligations Apply Now
