Our reputable Industrial Battery client is seeking a Qualified CA (SA) to join their team as the Financial Manager based in Durban . Purpose of this Job: Finance Manager is responsible for the company's long-term financial health and growth. They establish strategies that will earn profits, oversee accounting operations, produce accurate reports on where money is going within the business and improve or change current practices to increase efficiency. Salary : Market Related Requirements : Qualified CA (SA). 15 years or more experience. Proven track record of dealing with exchange rates, imports and exports. Proven track record of adding value through wealth creation. Proven track record of advising and guiding in money investment. Proven track record of successful forecasting and budgeting. Excellent strategic and analytical skills. Be tech savvy for the financial world. Be adaptable and open to change. Trustworthy with strong ethical values. Experience managing and leading a finance team. Someone that can see the bigger picture and align the company finances with the overall long-term goals of the company. Great interpersonal skills. Must be polite, empathetic and good listener. Someone who care about the people as much as the numbers. Detail orientated. Legal knowledge would be a bonus and preferred. Responsibilities : Leading and managing all finance functions within an organization to maintain a healthy financial position. Managing all finance/accounting staff. Preparing and managing forecasts and budgets across multiple departments/divisions. Forecast future needs using a long-term planning process to make informed decisions that improve company performance. Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk. Analyzing complex financial data. Setting financial targets. Support senior stakeholders on all business reviews. Analyzing and reporting on financial performance. Developing and implementing accounting/admin policies and improving financial processes. Managing internal controls. Managing overall insurance portfolio Engaging with investors. Directing and developing financial planning and strategy. Conducting feasibility studies. Monitoring expenditure. Monitoring cash flow. Evaluating investments. Overseeing audit and tax functions. Ensuring compliance. Managing debt. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations. Training accounting staff.
