Detailed description
- Lead the team in scanning the international and national environment to keep abreast of changes which may impact the PAs supervisory framework.
- Lead the interpretation of changes to the supervisory framework and present changes for consultation purposes to frontline and technical support teams.
- Coordinate and integrate framework updates, providing a consolidated, integrated and cross-functional view through well-articulated reports.
- Manage the maintenance of the PAs supervisory framework and associated guidelines.
- Manage the quality assurance reviews to assess consistency in the application of the framework.
- Take responsibility for senior level engagement and present quality assurance findings and recommendations to management and the Prudential Committee.
- Review the work of team and provide integrated management reports to support the decision making.
- Lead and/or participate within relevant working groups relating to PA strategic projects, initiatives and engagements.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, displaying the ability to lead engagements with relevant external and internal stakeholders.
- Manage the performance and development of the team.
- Guide the refinement and continuous improvement of sectional processes.
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:
- A minimum of an Honours degree in the fields of Compliance, Law or Commerce, or an equivalent qualification;
- A minimum of 810 years experience in policy or framework development within a regulated environment, internal auditing, risk and compliance management and quality assurance of which a minimum of 3 years in leading teams; and
- Experience within the financial sector will be an advantage.
