Manager, Workday Finance - Monte Vista

The ideal candidate has strong leadership and interpersonal skills and enjoys working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment; experience in productivity and collaboration tools is a must along with the skills to effectively manage a team of functional Workday Staff and Workday developers to execute plans with keen attention to detail and timing. The Manager Workday HCM is responsible for the administration, ongoing maintenance and support of the Workday HCM platform working collaboratively with the Workday Finance Manager with a full implementation of Finance, HCM and Payroll. Working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop solutions and to ensure data consistency, data integrity, and accurate generation and reporting of information. This role reports to the Senior Director, Workday Operations. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Oversee a team of dedicated Workday team members whose functions include but are not limited to security maintenance, business process configuration, tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, documentation, and training for Workday Fins and HCM. Work with external resources as needed. Work closely with functional areas and additional stakeholders to oversee and implement efficient solutions while managing deadlines, team workflow and resources. Support Workday feature release updates and enhancements. Assist in the design and implementation of new functionality. Model best practice components of customer service. Define technology roadmap aligned with HCM business group's strategy. Mentor team members on configuration and be a sounding board for problems. Continually analyze business processes and develop new and enhanced workflows within Workday. Champion and support data integrity and a stable HRIS environment through security and configuration decisions. Serve as a point of escalation for any Workday issues, identify roadblocks, develop mitigation plan and timely communicate status to stakeholders. Things That Should Be In Your Background: 5-7 years' experience in Workday configuration Management experience with small to midsize teams Experience with ticketing systems, and enterprise collaboration tools Proven track record in team management relating to prioritization of workflow, resource management and people skills Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation Bachelor's degree required Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role: Workday certification in at least one of the following: HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Absence, Benefits or Time Tracking Prior experience as a Workday HCM functional lead The ability to contribute on multiple projects of differing scale and duration Benefits & Culture Our global employee base is a diverse collection of innovators, dreamers, and doers working together to transform lives through higher education.
