A leading international chemical company providing speciality chemicals and advanced materials into the polymers, oil and gas markets requires the above to direct and optimise sales of speciality raw materials through managing relationships with current and potential manufacturing accounts on a national basis. Minimum requirements for the role: A qualification in business and/or marketing is required for this role. A background in polymer chemistry or related polymer sectors would be an asset. Previous experience having worked as a Key Account and or Business Development Manager or related within the polymer and related industries is essential for the role. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Directing and optimising sales of speciality raw materials through managing relationships with current and potential accounts on a national basis within the polymer, oil and gas manufacturing markets. Maximizing sales and profits of the commercial strategy for the speciality polymers, /polymer additives within the market. Supporting and negotiating sales contracts working directly with customers and distributors on a national basis. Developing new business within Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and identifying market opportunities. Addressing strategic challenges regarding the market. Ensuring that distribution contracts are in place and implemented with updated growth targets and transparency on customers and use. Ensuring distributors are provided relevant training as well as ensuring the leadership in business development. Establishing, developing and managing relationships with existing and potential accounts. Delivering quarterly and annual financial targets in line with market requirements as well as providing support to the global key account managers. Liaising with the business development managers, market customer support and other key personnel to coordinate various projects. Managing and implementing marketing strategies and techniques through working closely with the global marketing, sales, research, technical service, manufacturing and supply chain teams.
