Marketing Manager: Main Markets: Banking: Johannesburg: Fixed Term Contract Managerial: To develop, manage and implement the Marketing and Communication strategy and plans, that derive value for the business units in the Main Market portfolio, whilst ensuring the alignment of campaigns and projects as necessary Responsibilities: Development and review of marketing and communication strategies, policies, and plans for portfolio within Main Market: Develop detailed segment and/or product marketing strategies and plans and ensure this encompasses the strategies and plans for the business unit Develop in-depth understanding of Business strategies, plans, and objectives to ensure that marketing and communications aligns with these initiatives Review business unit marketing strategies and plans on a regular basis Approve marketing and communications strategies and plans. The jobholder ensures that these plans are implemented Communicate the group’s marketing and communications strategy and plan to internal and agency stakeholders Work Strategically and partner with businesses to input into the development of new opportunities for the business unit Provide Main Market business units with insight around the competitive positioning and develop action plans to differentiate offerings through marketing communication Collaboration and Alignment: Ensure alignment to the business strategy for the Main Market portfolio and the Marketing & Communications strategy Proactively participate with other members of marketing team in communications / public relations strategies and plans in support of business objectives Build a creative, integrated marketing and communications team that builds brand awareness and reputation Ensure that the business unit’s marketing strategy and plans are aligned to and port of, the Clients brand strategy, policy, standards and guidelines Organize and direct meetings on a regular basis where the business unit’s marketing and communications strategy and plans are reviewed Participate and be integral to the strategic planning of business leadership Manage and oversee marketing and communications cross-functionally across the various marketing support teams Keep informed of the developments in the fields of marketing, branding, communications and public relations and financial services and use this information to help the organization operate with agility and innovate on a consistent basis Identify the need for the development / review of marketing policies Manage Main Markets Marketing & Communication Initiatives: Manage and oversee all functions comprising marketing communications associated with marketing and communications including advertising, public relations, direct marketing, media placement, sales collateral, press release, special events, market research, creative production, media planning, internal and external communication, sponsorships, and all other marketing related activities Manage and oversee the development of all supporting marketing collateral for Main Markets, including brochures, sales collateral.
