An opportunity has become available for a Marketing Specialist based in Centurion, reporting to the Sales Director with the possible start date of 01 June 2024 . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our marketing initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry. Your expertise in strategic planning and tactical implementation ensures that our marketing efforts align seamlessly with company objectives. With a diverse portfolio of brands, ranging from hospital to front shop products, you lead the charge in developing innovative marketing strategies and managing successful product launches. Your ability to multitask and effectively communicate enables you to collaborate seamlessly with internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring the smooth execution of marketing campaigns. Strategic Marketing Planning : Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company objectives. Support strategic business plan and lead and manage sales operations. Tactical Implementation : Execute approved marketing plans, including: Briefing packaging development to designers. Liaising with Regulatory to ensure packaging compliance. Implementing marketing communication strategies. Budget Management : Compile annual marketing budgets and track monthly expenses to prevent overspending. Ensure excellent stakeholder relationships with customers, suppliers, staff, and regulatory bodies. Return on Investment (ROI): Analyze and evaluate the ROI of marketing activities to optimize resource allocation. Achieve and exceed company targets for service and all key performance related parameters. Marketing Research : Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and consumer preferences. Manage and track team`s outputs to ensure it is aligned with key sales performance indicators. Project Management : Lead all aspects of new product launches, from planning to execution. Produce, analyze, interpret management reports with regards to trends, discrepancies, and inconsistencies. Sales Force Support : Develop sales-focused plans and tools, communicate their effective use, and monitor implementation to align with commercial priorities. Ensure effective use of systems, processes, resources, products, and services to achieve desired departmental and business objectives. Brand Portfolio Management : Manage a diverse portfolio of brands, spanning hospital to front shop products. Manage and report on all aspects of sales performance and ensure growth objectives are met. Supplier Liaison : Coordinate with various suppliers, including agencies, printers, and promotional companies, to support marketing initiatives. Marketing Administration : Handle administrative tasks related to marketing activities efficiently. Qualifications and Knowledge Essential Tertiary Marketing Qualification – degree in marketing, sales, or medical fields Advantageous Post graduate Business Management or Management Qualification Experience Essential Minimum 10 years' sales experience in either one or both of retail and pharmaceutical sales. Effective Communicator: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely. Multitasking Skills: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively. Pharmaceutical Industry Experience: Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable in the following categories: CAMs, OTC, scheduled medicines. Advantageous Industry knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or FMCG retail as well as hospital lines. Awareness of developments in the natural health sector. Knowledge of industry and competitor trends and market dynamics.
