This role is responsible for leading and coaching a team of material planners to ensure continuous supply of Raw and Packaging materials to support production plans, while adhering to working capital targets. Additionally. the role is responsible for driving continuous improvement in the designated area and supporting regional improvement initiatives. How you will contribute You will: Materials Planning Team Leadership: Provide Management Team members with information that supports decision making so that decisions align the company’s product/portfolio, demand, supply, and finance requirements and deliver our strategic objectives. Support ongoing process improvement, proactively identify ways to improve the effectiveness of Materials Planning Develop a strong team of material planners, training, and coaching, communicate role expectations, provide performance feedback, and manage the team in line with Mondelez policies and values. Be responsible for technical skill development, knowledge transfer and correct manning with capable people in the plant structures re material planning capabilities. Act as escalation point for material concerns, lead daily/weekly/monthly material planning meetings to ensure supply continuity, report on KPIs and enforce best practices. Actively live MDLZ values in all dealings with internal and external stakeholders. Participates in learning/sharing opportunities across the Country/AMEA/Global community. Drive change management and facilitate improvements. Materials Strategy and Planning: Leads the Latest Forecast and Annual Contract processes for Materials Planning Collaborate with suppliers and departments i.e., physical logistics, procurement, manufacturing, customer service, and supply planning to support ongoing operational and long-term objectives. Contribute to the development of the MSM strategy and roadmap, which supports the Mondelēz International global vision, strategy, and values. Identify and communicate potential supply risks and collaborate with Production, Procurement and Supply Planning teams to investigate and resolve issues. Identify and lead process improvement initiatives, including owning the materials IO Tool Work with suppliers, procurement, and physical logistics to establish optimal delivery quantities and frequency for On-Time deliveries ensuring effective inventory management and service to all stakeholders in achieving company objectives on product supply. Collaborate with procurement, production, and supply planning to coordinate changes in line with inventory management, order timing for material revisions and new product launches, targeting minimal obsolescence. Actively participate in or lead identified Materials Planning initiatives and programs as required. Lead monthly Materials Meetings to drive visibility of Materials Planning related matters, drive accountability and review performance metrics. Take a proactive role in the removal of obstacles to success, escalation of issues or short comings in performance. Tracking, monitoring, and reporting of progress to plans and performance indicators through sharing and networking with the Planning AMEA community to measure effectiveness of those plans. Review with process leaders any weaknesses in their processes and support them in developing and executing improvement plans. Maintain close coordination with Procurement, Supply Planning and Finance especially during periods of constrained supply. Accountable for overall material inventory management, including NPI. Materials Systems and Compliance Standardizes the Ways of Working across SSA for Materials Planning Ensure the use of MRP and maintenance of MRP master data parameters to ensure accurate demand signals (i.e. lead times, MOQ’s, lot sizing, safety stock); identify and resolve system and/or BOM inaccuracies to preserve data integrity and avoid write offs. Participate in and champion MRP development /implementation activities, including specification writing, development, testing, and training. Identify and lead process improvement initiatives, including owning the materials IO Tool Lead and manage Materials Planning Projects and programs as required by the Business. Design, develop and implement all SSA BU material planning governance and management routines, and ensure compliance by all BU plants. Design and develop- all reporting templates for the Plant PP&L teams to use regarding all material planning functions, and successfully implement to ensure standardize reporting withing the BU. Evaluate and control all material planning activities via the Plant PP&L material planning teams to ensure zero OOS for raw and packaging materials, optimised stockholding and achievement of key KPI’s as identified for material planning in the SSA BU Participate in and champion MRP development /implementation activities, including specification writing, development, testing, and training. Custodian of all activities related to material inventory management across all SSA Mondelez sites. Make sure that all methodologies are aligned across stakeholders on the priorities set to manage materials such as NR Impact and BCP plans. Develop, integrate and align the WOW with all the VMI service providers. Materials Planning Reporting Ensure Materials Planning incidents are reported and investigated within MDLZ guidelines and information is shared across the AMEA Region where applicable. Identify and communicate potential supply risks as a key input into BU Supply Review Ensure clear reporting and consolidation of data at site level, identifying any potential developing risks and work with Procurement, Supply Planning and Production teams to develop plans to mitigate such risks. Supervise proper RCA where material outages are identified till action closure. Ability to meet stringent deadlines. Education / Certifications: University Degree in related discipline. Job specific requirements: 5 years of experience in Materials Management, of which 3-4 years should be in a managerial role. Demonstrated planning and administrative skills. Demonstrated coaching and development skills. Experienced Materials Planning professional.
