Responsible for conducting checks and analysis on samples as well as maintaining and reporting results. The ideal candidate would be responsible for: Performing chemical analysis of finished products and raw materials Preparation of analytical reagents and standards Performing physical checks on samples for analysis to ensure conformance to set standards Daily reporting of results to the Laboratory Supervisor and maintaining relevant result worksheets Performing other sampling and laboratory related tasks not listed above, that may be required on a regular, or ad hoc basis Maintaining and adhering to all safety, housekeeping and 20 Keys standards The successful candidate must meet the following requirements : Must be able to work under pressure and be self-motivated Must be able to plan work and make sure targets are obtained Have a minimum of grade 12 with passes in Mathematics and Physical Sciences A tertiary qualification in chemistry or related fields would be advantageous Prior experience working with AA and Leco Instruments will be advantageous Have good communication skills Have critical thinking skills Be computer literate Be able to work as part of a team We offer a competitive total cost to company salary package.
