Hire Resolve is currently seeking a qualified individual to join their client's team in the capacity of a Mechanical and Fire Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Mechanical and Fire Engineering services within the Building Services sector. Your primary objective will be to manage projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with local regulations and codes or surpassing these standards through Rational Design principles. Roles and Responsibilities: Lead the management of mechanical building services across all project phases, encompassing conceptualization, design, implementation, and project closure. Exercise autonomy in the execution of projects, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving. Foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives. Possess an in-depth understanding of local codes and regulations (SANS Codes) as well as Rational Design principles. Apply expertise in Fire Engineering to optimize project outcomes and ensure compliance with safety standards. Develop detailed specifications and bills of quantities for mechanical components. Prepare comprehensive technical reports to convey project progress and key findings. Requirements Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or BSc). Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Building Services Industry. Preferably eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with ESCA or in the process of obtaining registration. Proficiency in AutoCAD is a fundamental requirement, with familiarity with Revit being advantageous. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities. Benefits Salary: negotiable.
