Job Title: Mechanical Draftsman - AutoCAD 2D/3D Modeling and DetailingLocation: Kempton Park Job Type: Full-TimeSalary CTC R 24 000.00Responsibilities:1. Drafting and Design:- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and systems using AutoCAD.- Develop accurate and comprehensive technical drawings, ensuring alignment with project specifications.2. 3D Modelling:- Proficiently use AutoCAD for 3D modelling to represent complex mechanical structures and assemblies.- Collaborate with engineers to transform conceptual designs into detailed 3D models.3. Detailing and Annotation:- Provide detailed annotations, dimensions, and specifications on both 2D drawings and 3D models.- Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and comply with industry standards.4. Collaboration:- Work closely with engineers and other team members to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback.- Participate in design reviews and contribute to design optimization.5. Revision Management:- Maintain and update drawings to reflect design changes and revisions.- Keep accurate records of version control for all drawings and models.6. Quality Control:- Conduct thorough reviews of own work to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies.- Assist in quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality design outputs.7. Documentation:- Generate and maintain documentation related to mechanical drawings, including design specifications and material lists.- Prepare clear and concise documentation for internal and external communication.- Prepare bill of materials and orders for purchasing of components to fabricate finished product.
