Mechanical Engineer - East London
Our client, an Innovative Global Group with patented technology and clean-tech solutions, is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in East London. The Mechanical Engineer will primarily focus on managing and executing complex specialized design, engineering, development, repair, and modification of mechanical equipment and plant. Additionally, they will provide advice and assistance to construction, maintenance, and Ops personnel regarding plant designs and modification systems. Piping design experience and GCC Factories required. Requirements: BEng/BSC/B.Tech qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Prior experience as GMR2 Appointee - GCC Factories (Completed) 10 Years’ experience at senior engineer level, with 3 – 5 years in a leadership position. 3 to 5 years Piping Design work experience Prior experience in mechanical equipment field installation essential. Be fully conversant in – and have grounded knowledge of – industry legal requirements. Duties: Piping Design. Project Management and execution. Demonstrate good knowledge of legal requirements, national and international design. codes, local standards, and company specification. Identify deviations from legal requirements and develop corrective action/solutions. Provide mechanical input and guidance. Responsible for updating P&ID, PFD, and all related functions. Ensure HAZOP are followed. Execution of Management of Change process (MOC). There may be some IT-related tasks included in the running of the software department.
