I'm looking for a Plant Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for making sure equipment and machinery runs smoothly in the Plant. You will achieve this by planning, organising and controlling the work load of the Mechanical Technicians who maintain the machinery, ensuring that this is done within the framework of the budget. Responsibilities - Optimize plant availability and reduce breakdowns. - Machinery planned maintenance. - Ensure quick responses to breakdown calls. - Ensure breakdowns are repaired in shortest possible time. - Implement any improvements on equipment - Ensure legal compliance of the OHSACT. - Work towards ensuring a safe workplace. - Machine checks - Weekly walkthroughs - Execute capital projects and plant improvements - Establish and control maintenance and project budgets. - Daily checks on previous day expenditure. - Development and training of maintenance workforce. - Correspond with Training department on requirements and courses available for the upliftment of workforce - Be a team player and focus on achieving production targets. - Be part of a work integrated team - Plan work for annual shutdowns. Education: - BSc (Eng), B Tech in Mechanical Engineering. - GCC Factories would be an advantage Experience: - 5-8 years working experience; of which 5 should be in the heavy metal industry. Tyre experience would be an advantage - Supervisory management skills - Complex problem solving skills - Judgement and decision making skills - Computer literate, able to organize, plan and prioritise work - Knowledge of engineering standards and quality control Desired Skills: Engineering OHSACT Equipment Maintenance Fault Finding Mechanical Maintenance Desired Work Experience: 5 to 10 years Mechanical Engineering Desired Qualification Level: Degree About The Employer: Manufacturing
