Mechatronic Engineer - - Johannesburg

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechatronic Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of advanced underground mining machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechatronics, robotics, and automation, with experience in designing and implementing innovative solutions for challenging environments.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test mechatronic systems for underground mining machinery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components.
Optimize existing systems for improved performance, efficiency, and safety.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for new projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in mechatronic system design, integration, and optimization.
Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Familiarity with PLC programming, control systems, and sensor technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Prior experience in the mining industry is a plus.
