The main purpose of this position: This Senior Inventory Controller - External position is responsible for all matters relating to the management of consignment stock within the organisation The purpose of the job is to effectively manage stock, including stock levels, soon-to-expire stock, stock movement and rotation as well as “ABC” account / inventory management, in order to optimise stock holding, reduce stock losses and reduce stock expiries This Senior Inventory Controller - External is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization, while managing stock demand and consignment policies Duties & Responsibilities: Stock Consignment: Consignment report collation and coordination Liaising directly with company representatives (CS’s) with regards to stock issues in hospitals Completing physical consignment stock checks at hospitals Ensuring that all consignment checks are distributed, completed and received back on a monthly basis Giving the go ahead for requested stock by CS’s Approving and facilitating tracking form requests Accompany CS’s to hospitals for consignment stock checks, on a monthly basis Assist the invoicing department with stock consignment related problems Compile information for the Manager: Operations, for presentation to The Board Operating Committee (Stock Consignment Checks, Soon to Expire Report) Stock Administration: Management of stock levels based on agreed consignment levels Management and rotation of soon-to-expire stock Management of inventory based on the ABC hospital rating and ABC stock rating model Monitor and manage excess inventory, slow moving and obsolete stock Maintaining optimum inventory levels by incorporating business intelligence and forecast information Maintaining the filing of the consignments checks Stock Demand Planning: Review historical sales trends, discuss demand drivers with sales and marketing and implement accordingly Interact with sales and marketing, to understand demand forecast drivers Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with sales and marketing Obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for setting stock levels Use and maintain the Baroque BIC System software as the planning tool Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with the shipping and invoicing teams Staff Management: Supervise and manage the Inventory Controllers – External Deliveries: Ad-Hoc deliveries of emergency stock in the Gauteng Region, Pretoria, Rustenburg, Polokwane, etc. Assist with daily deliveries of Kits, if required Policies and Procedures: All company policies and procedures are adhered to in the performance of duties Initiative is used in suggesting suitable amendments to existing policies and procedures and identifying new policies and procedures that require implementation Requirements: Matric Valid Driver’s Licence Related Diploma /Degree (advantageous) Supervisory skills and experience (advantageous) Presentation skills Good communication skills (verbal and written) Pastel Evolution experience MS Office Advanced Excel Skills Advance MS Word Skills Analytical Skill 3-5 years in similar role Time management abilities Team player Problem solver Should you meet the above requirements, we urge you to please apply by forwarding your CV along with any supporting documents to infoglass-house.co.za
