An opportunity has become available for a Medical Technician/Technologist Cellular Therapy Laboratory. The incumbent will perform the overall operations in the Cellular Therapy Laboratory in relation to routine and specialized technical functions, quality and administration. Key Performance Areas Operational Duties Safety, Health, Environment and Quality duties Administrative Functions Specialised Technical Functions Competencies Required Analytical Thinking and Attention to Detail Ethical behaviour Customer Service Orientation Technical and Professional Competence Problem Solving Teamwork Communication Education HPCSA Registered Medical Technician/Technologist Blood Transfusion or Clinical Pathology or Haematology or Medical Scientist Experience 1 - 3 years work experience in related field or in the field of specialised blood product processing Other Knowledge and Skills Understanding of Blood Transfusion and Stem Cell Standards. Understanding of HPCSA regulations. Understanding of SANAS regulations and audit process. SAP and Meditech. Special Circumstances Provide 24-hour technical support and consultation to stakeholders if required. National / international travel as required. Driver's license and out of hours transport necessary. Overtime as and when required. Participate in rostered call duty, when required. Proficient eye-sight and reasonable mobility. Apply Now
