Who are we looking for:

Merchandiser / Senior Coordinator within the supply of locally manufactured apparel

What will you do:

Meeting with Buyers to receive briefs for coming seasons
Briefing Pattern makers following meetings with Buyers
Costings based on rating and various components
Sync experience (although sufficient training can be done if this hasn’t been worked on before)
Fabric orders
Updating Buyers and Planners on timeline issues and order status
Managing coordinating team who assist with trims, production and DC bookings
Managing sample and sealing process through correct sample set briefing and requests
Liaison with Retail QC when there are spec or grade rule concerns (as requested by internal QCs)
Basic knowledge of fabric reactions in order to adapt styling but still maintain the brief
Oversight or over run or under run in production / stock garments coming in / fabric and trim returns
Management of strat stock fabric and ensuring anything ordered and brought in specifically for a Buyer, is take up and used by that buyer within season
Quarterly travel to Cape Town will be required too
