Reference: HQ000752-pn-1Millwright An opportunity has arisen in the factory facility at Newton, Johannesburg for a suitable individual to join the Factory Management Team in the capacity of Millwright. Role: MillwrightLocation: Newtown, Johannesburg SA PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:The primary purpose of the position is to ensure a high level of production equipment availabilityThe incumbent will be responsible to maintain production machines, electrically driven machines andelectronic control gear. It involves dismantling, fault detection, repairing and in some cases, the manufacturing of parts, as well as the maintenance, reconstruction and installation of machinery.QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCEMillwright Trade Test Certificate with relevant experience Programming and Fault-Finding Delta PLC and FESTO Knowledge on Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems Knowledge of Safety Rules and Regulations Good knowledge of electrical equipment Willing to work shifts. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Ensure maximum reliability of all equipment. Keep maintenance standards. Assist in speedy re-commissioning of the plant during breakdowns or shutdowns. Accurate feedback/completion on execution of Job Cards Adhere to housekeeping requirements. Propose modifications to equipment for better performance or safety improvements. Adhoc workshop functions, e.g. rigging, boiler making, fitting, etc. Setup and Fault finding on Variable Speed Drives Active involvement in the developing implementing and maintaining Preventative Maintenance System Business Skills Self-disciplined and motivated Decision making skills and sound judgment Understanding and knowledge of FMCG industry Organizational skills (the ability to plan, delegate and organize within defined timelines). People Skills and Other Attributes Positive attitude Structured and systematic approach to fault finding on machines to ensure general efficiency, consistency and accuracy of task completion. Work effectively with others as part of a team to achieve production output. Accurately collect, record and report information in accordance with organizational production and quality procedures Communicate effectively in order to competently perform tasks. Able to identify and respond to problems which will negatively impact on production, quality andsafety. R 100 - R 120 - Hourly
