We are looking for a qualified Millwright to join the team. Mechanical Maintenance & Repairs Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs to equipment in the wet & dry separation plant. Inspect, perform repairs, install, service and maintain mechanical equipment. If necessary, isolate faulty areas and shut down faulty area for maintenance and repair. Read and interpret sketches, drawings and blueprints to perform work to specified standards. Maintain routine records and logs of inspections, maintenance, repairs and work orders. Perform welding, cutting, soldering and brazing incidental to fitting duties. Routine maintenance on mobile equipment to take place minimum once a week. Liaise with Engineering Manager with regards to routine service schedule. Light fabrication of equipment in line with liaising with relevant Supervisor or Manager. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to relevant supervisor. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Proper handover of plant equipment after shutdowns or repair work done. Provide estimate of time, materials and equipment required for assigned tasks and maintain records of work performed and parts used. Electrical Maintenance & Repairs Electrically troubleshoot and repair all electronic components in plant. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices, to ensure compatibility and safety of plant. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with health and safety. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Standby Duties Perform standby duties as necessary and be available for telephonic consultation or callouts if required. Safety and Housekeeping If SHEQ hazards and risks are identified to notify the relevant supervisor. Comply with SHEQ Standards of the employer. Ensure that all safety and housekeeping standards and regulations are adhered to. Ensure to maintaining housekeeping standards within pre-determined standards and regulations. Promote occupational health and safety within the organization and develop safer and healthier. working standards and always put the safety of your colleagues first. Matric Millwright Qualification
