Mining Engineer - Middelburg
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- At least ten years post GCC experience in a
managerial position in an underground
mining environment
- MHSA 2.13.1
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- Fixed and mobile processing plant
experience will be an advantage
- Valid drivers license
- Competent in MS Office Suite
- In depth knowledge and understanding of
the MHSA (Act 29 of 1996)
POSITION OUTPUTS
The incumbent will be responsible for the
following:
- Reg 2.13.1 legal appointment for plant and
underground/opencast colliery
- Ensure compliance to all statutory
requirements of MHSA
- Ensure compliance to mine policies, COPs,
and SOPs
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance
to engineering standards and strategies
- Reporting and monitoring of all engineering
activities
- Analyse and interpret maintenance trends
and variances to initiate change
- Improve maintenance practices to increase
availabilities and operating margins
- Actively support annual budget process and
monthly financial forecasting plan and
