With a minimum of two years of experience, the Mixologist combines expertise in mixology with exceptional customer service skills to deliver unique and memorable beverage experiences to guests. Qualifications A background in hospitality or a related field is preferred. Matric qualification required. Relevant certifications in mixology or bartending are highly advantageous. Minimum Requirements Professional Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in mixology or a similar role in a high-end bar or restaurant setting. Technical Skills: Proficient in various cocktail-making techniques and familiar with a wide range of spirits and mixers. Ability to create balanced and innovative drinks. Creativity: A creative mindset to experiment with new ingredients and concepts in cocktail creation. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in crafting and presenting cocktails. Stamina and Dexterity: Physical ability to work long hours, often standing, and perform intricate handiwork. Working Conditions: Typically works in a bar or restaurant environment. Requires working during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fast-paced and dynamic setting, often requiring multitasking. Main Resposibilites Cocktail Development and Innovation: Craft a diverse range of artisanal cocktails using high-quality ingredients. Continuously innovate and experiment with new flavors, techniques, and presentation styles. Guest Engagement: Interact with guests to understand their preferences and provide recommendations. Create an engaging and entertaining experience around the cocktail-making process. Quality Assurance: Ensure all cocktails meet the highest standards in terms of taste, presentation, and quality. Regularly taste and adjust recipes as needed. Inventory Management: Manage and maintain the bar inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels. Training and Mentorship: Share knowledge and skills with other team members. Train and mentor junior staff in the art of mixology.
