This role is an in office role, based in Claremont, Cape Town. Top Requirements Significant Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile Experience: Demonstrable expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform for developing mobile applications. Android Development Expertise: At least 3 years of professional Android development Kotlin MP Library Development Skills: Proficiency in developing and publishing KMP Tooling Proficiency: Ability to configure and debug Kotlin/Native and Xcode tooling, including understanding of linker and compiler issues. Production Experience: Proven experience in native app development and KMM in production environments. Community Engagement: Active participation in the Kotlin community through blog posts, talks, or open-source contributions. STEM Degree: A bachelor's or higher degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field. Azure Experience: Practical experience in developing and deploying solutions on the Azure cloud platform. Key Performance areas Robust Mobile App Development: Developing and deploying scalable mobile applications using Kotlin Multiplatform. Quality Assurance and Testing: Upholding high standards in code quality and automated CI/CD Proficiency: Leading in continuous integration and continuous deployment to streamline development processes. Duties and Responsibilities Agile Ways of Working: Implement and champion Agile methodologies, helping to manage sprints, and promoting an adaptable, improvement-focused workflow. You'll ensure Agile principles are deeply embedded in your team's approach. Advising on KMP Best Practices: Providing expert guidance on Kotlin Multiplatform best practices to teams and clients. Developing Quality KMP Applications: Building robust and high-quality applications for the client's global health and fitness app using Kotlin Multiplatform. Leading Multiplatform Strategies: Experimenting with and coaching others in multiplatform development strategies. Contributing to Open Source: Actively participating in open-source projects relevant to Kotlin Multiplatform. Performing Code Reviews: Engaging in peer code reviews to enhance team skills and app quality.
