We're on the lookout for an experienced MRP Controller to manage the materials requirements planning within the stores to ensure the availability of materials at the correct time and in the correct quantity to minimize maintenance and storage costs. As MRP Controller, you will be responsible for: Appointed project owner to manage out-of-stock materials and critical spare replenishment Review stock levels to align with Mill requirements, working capital optimisation, and supplier lead times Acts as custodian for rotables at vendor process (including compliance to procedure, expediting with Procurement, and exception reporting on equipment status) Support Procurement on material technical specifications and supplier queries Liaise with Procurement and prioritise on delivery of critical and breakdown-related spares Update physical spare bins on delivery date status for out-of-stock and critical spares Replenish and maintain stock levels to ensure adequate stock cover as per MRP rules and processes Maintain SAP database to ensure that actual stock levels are correctly reflected Manage stock counts as per department requirements Acts as custodian for the equipment scrapping process Manage internal and external customer queries Manage MRP Master Data to ensure content is correct and updated Lead continuous improvement projects in areas of responsibility Identify and take corrective action in terms of SHEQ conditions and hazards Conduct SHE inspections and audits Acts as a champion for housekeeping and 5S activities What are we looking for? Relevant NQF level 6 qualification in Materials Management, Purchasing, or Engineering related qualification 3-5 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP MM) What's in it for you?
