The MTN Group is listed in South Africa on the JSE under the Industrial – Telecommunications sector Job Title: Graduate: Systems and Process (1 Vacancy) Location of position MTN South Africa Gauteng Johannesburg Constantia Park Job mission The graduate in training will be trained ( formally and ‘on the job’ ) He/She will, under guidance of the line manager, gain knowledge, understanding, insight and hands-on experience and skills of the following: The graduate will learn to comply to and ensure that governance is driven in MTN business by complying to processes & systems that ensure compliance to the legal and regulatory frameworks as well as improve effectiveness and efficiency in the business. KPA duties Task Complexity: The graduate will be trained and upskilled to perform these tasks: Process & controls definition • Ensure that functional Handover points needs to be specified (Functional areas impacted, handover documents/information and turnaround times) • OLAs and escalation matrices adhered to. • Delegation of Authority (SLA penalty approvals, pricing and discounts associated with Sales) • Inputs & Outputs of process steps and Functional roles • Standardization of documentation & templates, correct branding • Document storage • Automation of Business Reporting • Turnaround times and measurement thereof • Implement and maintain process inventory for Business continuity Systems automation • Complying to business requirements specification for process automation, define testing methodology & use cases, conduct user acceptance testing, formulation of change requests Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Complexity: A level of self management and ongoing self-improvement of technical skills and techniques is required in this position Educational requirements Education: • Matrix or equivalent • A B-degree in IS or IT or equivalent Experience required Experience: None Skills required Knowledge: • Managing multiple projects and resources • Ability to meet deadlines • Knowledge of Telco/ISP environment Behavioural qualities: • Good communicator, • Self motivated and driven, • Broad scope of technology, • Willingness to learn from peers, • Willingness to teach, • Interest in alternatives to presently accepted technologies Other information Reference No: CISP/EE/EW/002 Position Type: Contract – Limited Affirmative Action: Open to All Salary: Additional: Training: Relevant product training will be provided Applications close 31 Aug 2011 Click here to view Jobs and Apply Online
