We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Monitoring consultant who specialises in Nagios or ICINGA. This is a long-term fixed contract of 3 years (Renewable based on Performance) You will be working on a Hybrid schedule if living in Gauteng, and a semi-remote schedule when living outside of Gauteng - with office visits once a quarter Send your CV to elsa.vandenbergmediro-ict.co.za Continuous enhancement of Nagios master solution for application monitoring and web performance monitoring 2nd and 3rd Level Support for Nagios master solution and Nagios AppMon solution Collecting of requirements related to new monitoring functions of IT departments Creating and refinement of user stories about company's Nagios master solution, Nagios AppMon and Nagios AppMon/WebPerformance generator Developing of new monitoring plugins and enhancements defined in user stories, together with our providers Building, compiling, and testing of Nagios OMD to cater for new changes Consulting of company's Nagios master solution user for e.g., Web operations Consulting and supporting of Nagios AppMon customers regarding possible usage of com[any's standard monitors Responsible for all required documentation including Operations manual, security, test concept etc. Testing Fluent English-speaking, including Business reading and writing Information Technology Qualification Min. 5 years working experience with IT Monitoring Systems like Nagios and ICINGA Technical: Experience in IT Monitoring solutions Deep knowledge of Nagios or similar technologies as a monitoring tool In-depth working knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Platforms - Operating systems like Linux and Windows, Networks, Platforms like Databases, Web technologies, and Cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google) Experience in Shell, Perl, Python and a higher programming language e.g. Java Ability to conceptualise complex information, but also delve into the details when required Experience with ITIL Experience with the Agile Methodology Salary Market Related Apply Now
