National Facilities Manager - South Africa
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 8 years experience in Management 12 years in Facilities Must have managed 15 sites/ centres all over South Africa Strong administration skills Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans. Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Responsibilities Develop and implement a national facilities management strategy aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with executive management to understand business needs and align facilities strategies accordingly. Prepare and manage the facilities budget on a national level. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure budget compliance. Coordinate maintenance activities for all facilities, ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs. Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment. Source and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, review performance, and ensure service level agreements are met. Ensure all facilities comply with local, provincial, and national regulations. Implement and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures. Optimize the use of office space and facilities to support organizational objectives. Plan for future space needs and expansion. Oversee security measures and access control systems. Collaborate with security teams to mitigate risks and respond to incidents. Implement and promote sustainable practices in facility management. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and environmental responsibility. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, budgets, and compliance documentation.
