NATIONAL SALES MANAGER - - Johannesburg

Our client in the Liquor Industry is looking for an experienced National Sales Manager to join their Sales team. The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Head of Operations or his / her nominee. This role is about defining and executing the commercial strategy, fostering key retail relationships, and leading a dedicated team to new heights which leads to the growth of the business. Duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Operational excellence.
Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets.
Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients needs.
Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
Manage export Sales.

Qualifications and Experience

Matric or NQF Equivalent
BCom Degree (Hons. Degree advantageous) or a relevant Post Graduate Qualification
10+ years experience as a National sales manager in the Liquor Industry (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Solid working knowledge of sales, business development and strategy planning
An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics and conduct market analysis.
Solid customer service experience
Team management skills
Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
Availability to travel as needed.
Strong business acumen and work ethic.
