We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Web Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain all application systems and associated technologies/applications, ensuring optimum efficiency and high availability for our clients. Estimating, planning, and managing all tasks related to their projects and reporting on progress. Collaborating closely with all team members to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts committed by the team. Implementing monitoring measures to ensure stability issues are detected before they impact clients.Interacting with users to clarify requirements. Familiarity with development practices such as Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development. Involvement in the design and analysis process of projects. Developing, testing, and deploying software, including database backups and platform considerations.Understanding the business purpose of the story and defining and analyzing possible alternative ways of satisfying the business purpose of the story. Planning and estimating development tasks with other developers that are required to fulfil the story. Working directly with the Product Owner to clarify and further define the details of how the story should be implemented. Providing guidance to other developers as necessary who are engaged in development tasks associated with the story. Ensuring compliance with the PCI/POPI process on every project the senior developer is involved in. Web Development New solution development Maintenance development Code and release management (code check-in, build and distribute releases) Code Reviews Solution Architecture Delivering quality solutions and providing technical support and acting as a mentor to fellow developers in the development team. Providing technical inputs in meetings and creating, maintaining, and reviewing fellow developer documentation. Helping team members understand existing functionality and new functional requirements, as well as new functionality (cross-skilling). Reporting development progress, results and key metrics at agreed intervals Competencies Great problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Competency in assisting other developers and acting as a mentor to junior colleagues. Vast experience in the Agile approach, functioning as a mentor and guide in the Agile process. The ability to be assigned complex tasks and function autonomously. Expertise in their technology stack. Experience in creating architecture for projects. The ability to take ownership from spec till delivery and sign-off. The ability to delegate tasks to a team of intermediate/junior developers. Experience mentoring junior and intermediate developers. Educational Qualifications: Matric. BSc Degree (Computer Science) or related qualification. Software Development related Qualification will be an added advantage.
