Job Title: Cost and Management Accountant Location: Centurion Salary: R690 000.00 – R720 000.00 Per Month Job Type: Permanent Sectors: Accounting Reference: NFE004514/DVN Vacancy Details Take the next step in your career as a Management Accountant This industry giant is seeking an analytical and commercially astute individual to fulfill the role of Management Accountant. As a Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective running of the costing department while closely monitoring all activities with cost implications. Your primary responsibility will be to provide commercial support and insights to the Commercial Management of the Speciality operating unit, demonstrating expertise in cost management and profitability. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CIMA is preferred. Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide valuable insights. Commercial acumen and understanding of cost management, profitability analysis, and pricing strategies. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, utilizing tools such as Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting standards. Responsibilities: Work closely with the costing department to ensure accurate cost data and timely reporting. Monitor financial performance, conducting analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis reports. Collaborate with stakeholders to address key issues and provide guidance on cost management and profitability. Support the commercial management team in decision-making processes through data-driven insights. Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial models and tools for business planning and performance tracking. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
