Academic N6 or T3 telecommunication and IT-related subjects and a minimum of two (2) years experience in a telecom environment or: N3 with a minimum of 5 years experience in related equipment as laid out in the competency required. Competency Knowledge of Newbridge bandwidth management range of equipment. Knowledge of Newbridge 46020 and E-MOS SDH management systems. Knowledge of SCADA type supervisory equipment. Knowledge of microwave technology and equipment (PDH and SDH) configuration and application thereof. Be computer literate. Basic knowledge of Unix (Solaris) operating system. Knowledge of WAN and LAN technology (ie: IP routing, router, switch and hub configuration and setup.) Sound data communication knowledge. Have sound communication skills. Have a good analytical ability. Desired Skills: Newbridge SCADA microwave Unix Solaris WAN LAN Desired Work Experience: 2 to 5 years Desired Qualification Level: Certificate
