DUTIES: Provide a professional occupational health care service within a legal and ethical framework Attend to medical emergencies and injuries-on-duty onsite. Order medication and control stock for chronic illness through liaison with medical aid and the State Hospital Assist with pre-placement, periodical, transfer medicals and exit medical examinations as required by legislation Attend to employees who get injured on duty (emergencies) Keep records for all schedule medication and conduct routine monthly checks Organize and liaise with State Hospital with regards to chronic illness medication supplies Monitor and keep statistics for all chronic illnesses within Bell Richards Bay Liaise and organize the venue for blood donation and health related awareness campaigns Conduct health promotion talks REQUIREMENTS: Degree or Diploma in Nursing science Degree/Diploma/certificate in Occupational Health nursing Two years relevant experience Valid Code B drivers licence Must be computer literate Must be prepared to work extra hours and nightshift Applicants must have certificates in the following: Audiometry Spirometry Dispensing licence HIV/Aids counselling course Basic life support Current registration with South African Nursing Council Candidates with the following will have an added advantage: Certificate in Primary Health Nursing Nimart HIV course (certificate in Nurse Initiated Management of Anti-Retroviral Therapy) IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD A RESPONSE TO YOUR APPLICATION WITHIN 4 WEEKS OF THE CLOSING DATE, PLEASE ACCEPT THAT YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL.
