Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science · Practical Certificate in Mine Environmental Control · Studying towards or having an intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control or SAIOH Technologist /Assistant will be advantageous · A tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene or technical field will be advantageous Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the mining environment Knowledge of mining process, standards, procedures, safety and legal requirements · Proficient in MS package · Effective communication skills in English · Medical Certificate of Fitness As our Occupational Hygiene Observer some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to: · Plan and conduct personal sampling according to the mine's sampling strategy and other related legal framework · Conduct workplace surveys and assessments and evaluate situations in the workplace · Support the mine in assessing risks to health arising from different hygiene factors in the workplace · Investigate all incidents which may occur relating to Occupational Hygiene · Determine critical areas and hazard type in all work areas · Make recommendations on routine inspections/survey concerning Occupational Hygiene · Coordinate Occupational Hygiene systems in your area of responsibility · Assist with internal/external audits Apply Now
