Online AS and A Level STEM Teacher - Pretoria
Our client is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Online AS and A Level STEM Teacher, specializing in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective online lessons to students pursuing AS and A Level qualifications in these subjects. The position requires a strong background in STEM education, excellent communication skills, and a passion for inspiring and guiding students to achieve academic success. Ideally a Full time teacher is required but depending on the candidate possible part-time positions would be looked at Full Time: 40 hours a week. Approximately 20 - 22 lessons a week Part Time: 20 hours a week. Approximately 12 - 14 lessons a week Responsibility: Teaching Conduct live and interactive online classes for AS and A Level students in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Develop and deliver well-structured lessons that align with curriculum requirements and foster student engagement. Utilize various teaching methods, tools, and technologies to create a dynamic and effective learning environment. Design and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments based on curriculum guidelines. Stay abreast of advancements in STEM education and integrate relevant content into the curriculum. Tailor teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Student Assessment and Feedback Evaluate student performance through regular assessments, quizzes, and examinations. Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement. Responsibility : Communication and Collaboration: Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes academic growth. Maintain open communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the STEM department. Attend virtual staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required. Responsibility : Student Support: Offer additional support to students who may require extra assistance. Provide guidance on study strategies, exam preparation, and career pathways in STEM fields. Qualifications Required Master's or Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or a related field SACE registered Relevant teaching experience at the AS and A Level. Strong command of the subject matter with a deep understanding of AS and A leves Relevant teaching experience at the AS and A Levels Strong command of the subject matter with a deep understanding of AS and A Level curriculum requirements. Experience in online teaching and familiarity with virtual classroom tools will be a benefit Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
