Boutique Hotel with 34 rooms as well as 4 conference and wedding venues that cater for up to 250 people situated in Boksburg is looking for an Operations Manager. We are looking for a hands on Manager that will be able to maintain high standards and contribute to the growth and success of the business. Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations to ensure a consistently high standard of guest service and maximise profitability across all outlets. Plan and direct key hotel operations including quality, standards, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Foster a culture of excellence in guest care, promoting a warm welcome and exceeding expectations. Collaborate with all Heads of Departments (HODs) for smooth day-to-day operations. Conduct regular meetings with HODs to discuss operational matters, performance targets, and guest feedback. Deputise for the General Manager / Owners as needed Ensure the consistent implementation and review of SOPs across all departments. Handle day-to-day queries, complaints, and problems arising in the hotel. Business forecasting and planning. Drive financial opportunities and create a proactive up-selling environment. Conduct Duty Management shifts, fire walks, and Health & Safety audits. Promote positive employee relations and regular team communication. Inspect departments for service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, and staff grooming. Ensure Health and Safety compliance for all hotel premises. Requirements: Diploma in Hospitality Management; a degree in a related field would be beneficial. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry. Strong commercial awareness, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and leadership abilities. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
