Operations Manager (JB4399) Modderfontein, Gauteng R35 000 to R45 000 a month Benefits: Fuel/ Tolls/ Cell-phone if utilized, any consumables required, receipts/invoices will be required for reimbursement Permanent A Decking Company has a position open for a multifunction Operations Manager within the company, particularly involved in the Day-to-Day Operations and workflow between the sales team and the warehouse Minimum Requirements: BCom in the following or equivalent – Operations Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Procurement and/or Logistics 3-5 Years Experience in an Operations Managers role or equivalent 2 years' experience of financial and account reporting Strong skills in budget development, data analysis and reporting Excellent organisational skills and ability to delegate and manage staff Excellent record keeping systems Strong PC skills Duties and Responsibilities: Warehouse Staff Management Planning and execution of production, logistics and stock movement to ensure smooth operations Daily staff meeting and warehouse overview Being the key and single link between sales and office staff and warehouse staff All paperwork and instructions are relayed through this position Put in place checks, procedures, and rules etc. to ensure staff, machines, stock, and production work seamlessly together Co-ordinate with the warehouse team regarding additional casual staff requirements and coordinate container receiving Building and refining SOPs that are in place, developing new SOPs where required Health and safety officer/ SHE Rep Ensuring all medicals, and licensing of staff (forklift licenses, fire safety, first aid etc.) is kept up to date Stock Management and Forecasting Plan and facilitate stock counts, ensuring system and actuals stocks correlate Investigate and report on any discrepancies Facilitating stock movements, forecasting for ordering, analysing trends, compiling future orders Ensuring sample invoices are processed and signed off and stock for samples isn't being abused Receive stock into the system and keep full record within the shipping files Logistics Plan delivery schedules, ensure checklists are completed and any issues with vehicles are reported Plan, cost, and execute vehicle license renewals, road worthy tests, maintenance, and services Coordinate collections, deliveries and any other required movements with company vehicles and courier/transport services Plan and co-ordinate the logistics of all imports and exports with agents, customers, and staff Ensure all invoices are accurate and cost effective. Analyse any changes or additional charges and query to ensure the same Procurement Work closely with the Sales Team to analyse stock needs using stock controlling knowledge to assist Communicate with Suppliers and place orders, manage the order process from start to finish Communicate and co-ordinate with forwarding and clearing agents relating to orders Ensure knowledge of various suppliers and costs and compare, ensure pricing is competitive and cost effective Sales Assist the Director with costings, quoting and invoicing for any and all projects being worked on when needed Kontak Recruitment Disclaimer: Equal opportunity: All backgrounds are welcomed, with no bias.
