Industrial automation organisation is looking for a Operations Supervisor to join their team. Responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations within the warehouse and dispatch facility. Provide support to ensure that the team delivers and meet production targets. Ensure that an exceptional level of service to customers exist within the department, relating to the warehouse and dispatch. Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including but not limited to warehouse associates, material handlers, and forklift operators. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's performance meets or exceeds established standards. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication. Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods within the warehouse. Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels. Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and address any discrepancies promptly. Coordinate the timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders. Monitor order fulfilment metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce processing times. Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to meet customer requirements. Develop and optimise warehouse processes to enhance overall efficiency, productivity and presentability. Implement best practices for space utilization, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols. Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all warehouse activities. Address and resolve any issues related to damaged goods, incorrect shipments, or other quality concerns. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. OHS act Conduct regular safety meetings, training sessions, and inspections to maintain a safe working environment. Generate and analyse reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure warehouse performance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including inventory records, shipping manifests, and incident reports. Essential Requirements: Matric. Proven experience in warehouse operations, with a minimum of 3 -5 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software. An appropriate warehousing qualification would be advantageous. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations. OHS linked certifications. Forklift license advantageous. Valid SA Driver's License advantageous.
