Overseas Warehouse Supervisor - South Africa
Requirements 4 years experience in warehouse management or supervision, preferably in an overseas setting. 6 years experience within the overseas warehouse environment. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on finding practical solutions to challenges that arise in a warehouse environment. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and quality control. Technical Skills: Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software application Responsibilities Supervise Warehouse Operations: Oversee day-to-day activities within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods. Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory counts through regular audits and cycle counts. Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to manage inventory levels effectively. Team Management: Lead and motivate warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Delegate tasks and ensure that staff adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures. Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction. Monitor product condition and implement measures to prevent damage or loss. Optimize Efficiency: Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity. Identify areas for cost savings and process optimization. Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, logistics, and customer service to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Implement safety training programs and maintain a safe working environment for warehouse staff. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
