Liase with Medical Aids for various aspects related to the practice. Excellent verbal and written English skills as well as excellent English comprehension in both verbal and written forms. Be experienced, meticulous, highly competent, highly organised, able to prioritise work appropriately, be very efficient and able to grasp concepts quickly and easily. Have a calm, patient, friendly and helpful demeanour and listen attentively to patients. Responsible for creating electronic medical files and filing all patient documents electronically. Invoicing and taking payments from patients. Reception duties (with excellent communication and telephone etiquette), respond timeously to emails and patient queries. Assist with hospital admissions, dealing with patients’ families, booking tests for patients and assisting the doctor with patient referrals to other disciplines, typing letters when necessary and other administrative duties that are required of a medical practice. Must be able to work flexible hours in the case of an emergency with a patient or hospital admissions, where the doctor would require assistance. Qualifications Must have Matric.
