- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Production or Manufacturing
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with automation technologies
- Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
- Attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset

- Ability to identify critical trends and patterns for process optimization

- Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintain and optimize automation hardware and software to maximize throughput and quality
- Ensure staff compliance with productivity standards and provide necessary training and guidance
- Improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE) through proactive measures and continuous improvement initiatives
- Optimize the utilization of cooling and de-greening space for efficient operations
- Coordinate and schedule timely maintenance of machines to minimize downtime and disruptions
- Identify and optimize data processes to establish a paperless environment and improve information
flow - Facilitate systems integration and drive process improvements to enhance operational
effectiveness - Provide real-time problem-solving support to address operational challenges and minimize delays.
- Support operational decision-making by analysing relevant data and leveraging the latest
technology - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product quality and productivity
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation
within the packhouse operations
