Our client in the Agricultural Industry in Robertson has a vacancy for a Fruit Packhouse Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible to plan, organize, direct and control the operations activities including physical and human resources. (Please note that previous packhouse managerial experience is a compulsory requirement for this position). Controlling administrative operations such as budget planning, report preparation, expenditure on supplies, equipment and services. Developing, implementing and monitoring procedures, policies and standards for employees. Directing, supervising and evaluating the work activities of professional, technical, clerical, service, maintenance and other personnel. Managing budgets, controlling expenditure and ensuring the efficient use of resources. Monitoring and evaluating resources devoted to the provision of services. Overseeing the selection, training and performance of staff. Planning, directing and coordinating the provision of services. Provide overall direction and management for a service, facility or organization. Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the General Manager. Continues improvement and innovation in the Equipment and Technology of Packhouse – Improvements in efficiency/ productivity/ quality/ cold chain. Assist in the expansion of operations, increased volumes and productivity and profitable use of facilities Running and managing the packhouse to meet the required quality, volumes and efficiencies required to ensure production costs to target Agricultural or Engineering or similar Diploma or Degree. Minimum of 8 years' management experience in a similar business. Excellent understanding and knowledge of effective Packhouse processes and systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem solving, analytical and numerical abilities are crucial. Excellent knowledge and computer skills (MS Office) Effective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detail Ability to work with no supervision and track multiple processes.
