As a Maintenance Team Member at Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, you maintain the visual stunning image of your destination's facilities. In this role, your main responsibilities will include: Preparing surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper, filling cracks and holes, and sanding where necessary. Repairing and making any necessary adjustments to surfaces before painting or wallpapering. Ensuring safety measures and guidelines are followed while performing tasks. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis to Keep the hotel décor in good condition. Prepare and paint surfaces of building structure, furniture and equipment using proper application techniques and various products. Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and knowledge of various painting techniques and materials. The selected candidate will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards. Requirements To be considered for the position of Painter at Belmond, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: Previous experience as a professional painter. Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment. Ability to prepare surfaces and apply paint or wallpaper with precision. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Good physical stamina and the ability to work comfortably at heights. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work during weekdays, weekends, and evenings, as needed.
