Our client in the Financial industry is currently looking to employ Paraplanner | Senior Assistant to Financial Advisors based in Bellville (Cape Town). Suitably qualified person with previous experience providing technical and administrative financial planning support to Advisers and senior management at established IFA. A wonderful career opportunity awaits you. Requirements: Relevant investment/financial degree or diploma / qualification. Knowledge and experience in a financial/investment environment (minimum 3 - 5 years). At least 3 years' work experience within a Financial Planning practice. Knowledge of Financial Planning principles including Estate, Retirement, Risk (Long-term) and Tax Planning. Knowledge of financial products and services offered by our company. Experience in preparing and presenting client proposals to Advisors & Wealth Managers as part of new business. Excellent MS Office skills, especially excel. Pro-active in general technology driven systems. Good knowledge of the Financial Planning Industry, financial and insurance products, and financial planning concepts, as well as investments, tax and general financial analysis. Experience in working with Elite Wealth's financial planning software would be an advantage, as well as NinetyOne investment platform. Minimum NQF level 5 qualification or Relevant investment or financial planning degree or diploma. Valid driver's license and own vehicle Proficient in both spoken and written English and Afrikaans. Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to: Technical and administrative financial planning support to Financial Advisers & Wealth Managers. Formulate effective financial/Investment/Retirement plan and documents and/or risk management documents, in-line with the strategy as outlined by the adviser, and the customer's needs, objectives and risk tolerance. Must meet compliance requirements and the relevant legislation. Gather, summarise and analyse new client information/data. Working with the Financial Planner to develop strategy and recommendations. Prepare financial plans and provide analysis and recommendations to clients. Prepare proposal documents and application documents. Prepare statement/record of advice documentation as required. Preparing investment applications, transfers, and documents for client meetings Prepare investment proposals and portfolio reviews. Research, select and compare appropriate investments/products/vehicles. Managing the client review process. Checking and / or capturing of client payments and requests. As part of financial planning process: Cash flow and performance calculations and projections; Pre-retirement planning calculations; Attendance and note taking in client meetings with planners; Accurately finalising and collating compliance and advice documents. Risk / insurance (long-term insurance): Review customers risk coverage in conjunction with changes in customer circumstances and risk management needs, product offerings available, and changes in product provider rates. Researching existing and potential replacement products in order to prepare the most appropriate recommendation for a client in an advice document. Product comparisons, insurance analysis, quoting and suggesting suitable solutions. Draw and compare quotations from different insurers. Additional research information. Assist in drawing up of Wills and estate planning. Other general: Required to provide assistance to all Financial Planners and senior management with any general office duties, from time to time. Respond to client inquiries. Interacting with the clients in a professional manner. Client relationship management. Handling of new application and quotations. Remain up-to-date on products and services. Where there are team absences due to holidays/illness, provide relief support to those roles, taking on additional tasks and services to ensure the continued operations of team services. Process new account paperwork, including preparation, transfer of funds. Responds to requests for service in a professional, timely and thorough manner ensure high levels of quality are maintained.
