Shared Services concern based in Springs, has an exciting opportunity for a PAYE Specialist to join their team. Successful incumbent will be required to apply PAYE controls around the payroll processes for the company's payroll. Provide support to the Payroll Accountant and ensure compliance with Income Tax Laws in complex payroll and financial situations. A completed B.Com (Accounting) / (Finance) degree is essential coupled with 5 years working experience in Payroll Tax. a Post-graduate qualification in Tax is advantageous. Key responsibilities include: EMP201 and EMP501 reconciliations and submissions on SARS esyFile and SARS E-filing; apply for Tax Directives; apply for Letters of Good Standing from SARS; compile and submit data for Stats SA; ensure the payroll system applies the correct definitions of income / remuneration for components such as COIDA, UIF, PAYE in order to correctly calculate deductions; ensure that provisions calculate correctly; ensure that Retirement Benefit deductions calculate correctly (approved vs unapproved funds); ensure that all fringe benefits are accurately taxed; Management of IT88/AA88 process and deductions in line with SARS's Agent Appointment and BCEA; management of taxes for independent contractors and ex-pats; assist and advise Payroll Services Team of income tax implications and relevant changes; assist with adhoc queries relating to employee tax consequences; assist with the implementation of payroll transactions; enhancing processes to mitigate risks; perform sample audits of all payroll input and agree to current individual tax legislation; recalculate tax for accuracy as and when required; identify and rectify discrepancies within payroll system; assist with employee's tax issues and perform adhoc duties as and when required.
