Applications are now open for the position of Payroll and Human Resources Administrator (Salaries and Wages). The purpose of this position will be to ensure the effective processing and management of all administration linked to the payroll function for salaried and wages staff. This will include reconciliations and payment management to all third parties that are linked to salaries, either as statutory bodies or benefit providers. Managing administrative functions related to fortnightly wages and monthly salaries, including the reconciliation of all relevant reports into finance and the payroll system Receiving and managing the entire payroll process, handling remuneration increases, new engagements, terminations, hours received, submitted claims, medical aid reconciliations, garnishee orders, monthly EMP 201's (including UIF submissions), and annual EMP 501's by agreed deadlines Preparing the consolidation of claims received from human resources regarding travel, overtime, and allowances for referral to senior management for signature and approval Collating, checking, and inputting all data received for the month on the system, ensuring 100% accuracy Ensuring salaries are paid on time as per specified pay dates for fortnightly and salaried staff Ensuring financial reporting on all elements under this function is submitted at specified timeframes Preparing and ensuring that all third-party payments are made by EFT or as per the mechanism specified by the third party Interfacing with the human resources construct to ensure alignment between human resources and payroll activities, including generating purchase requests and scanning human resources documentation onto the server Assisting with the collation of evidence for skills development, invoices, and costing summaries Completing necessary purchase order requests and following through on order placement, invoicing, and payment by Finance for payroll and human resources Matric and a Certificate or Diploma in Payroll and/or Accounting At least 5 years of experience in payroll and human resources administration Experience with payroll policies and procedures Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience with UIF, tax, pension fund and medical aid administration Strong knowledge of PAYE, Skills Development Levies and UIG Strong knowledge of GL journals and reconciliations Apply Now
