- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, ideally within the logistics or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of South African payroll regulations and requirements.
- Experience with payroll software and systems, with a high proficiency in Excel.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key responsibilities:- Oversee the processing of the monthly payroll for employees across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory law and financial regulations related to payroll operations.
- Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency.
- Manage and resolve any payroll discrepancies or queries from employees.
- Lead, mentor, and expand the payroll team to support business growth.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure coordination and compliance.
- Provide regular payroll reports to management for review.
- Stay updated on new tax laws and compliance requirements.
