Reference: JHB002050-RH-1Our client is looking for a PC&D Engineer- Process, Control and Development Automation Engineer to join their team. Must ideally come from smelting or steel industry - with a passion for process control and automation. Must have completed B.Eng (Electrical, Electronic, Metallurgical or Mechanical) or BSc. Computer Science, Computer Engineering) or related field with experience in Software development (C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, etc), specifically in the engineering control software field. Required knowledge in First Principal feed forward models and feedback control loops as well as Artificial Intelligence systems (Fuzzy Logic & Neural Network) -that ensure continuous process performance improvement in the hot rolling mill. You will be responsible for co-ordinating hot rolling process improvements : quality, efficiency and availability and maintaining close control on critical product characteristics. Implementing corrective and preventive actions to assure quality and effective process performance. Investigate all modelling and control system failures and associated deviations to implement corrective and preventive actions. Annually
