Performance Monitoring Department – Senior Secretary - South Africa

REF NO: 153/2013 SALARY : R170 799.00 – R201 195.00 per annum (Salary level 7) CENTRE : Pretoria REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must possess a minimum qualification of Grade 12, certificate in computer literacy and at least 2 years’ experience in Office Management environment. A Diploma/Degree in Office/Public Management or related field is recommended. Good planning and organizing skills. Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Possess good computer literacy and skills to operate Microsoft Office suites (Word, PowerPoint, Excellence, Outlook, and Internet) and other office equipment’s. Possess knowledge of documents management, tracking and filing systems. Be willing to work long hours (when required) and to be subjected to security clearance and vetting DUTIES : Successful candidate will be rendering clerical, secretarial, administrative and logistical support to the Director General which include handling of correspondence (incoming and outgoing documents), diary management, arranging meetings, and workshops and provide administrative support. Track submissions. Draft correspondence and maintain registers. Handle all logistical arrangements. Liaise with external stakeholders. Maintain a correct filing system. Receive and assist visitors and guest in a professional manner. Taking of minutes and manage correspondence by receiving and distributing documents. Handle/ direct enquiries. Remain up to date with regards to prescripts/policies and procedures applicable to work terrain to ensure efficient and effective support to the office of the Director General.
