Koffiefontein Mine JV is located 100 km from Kimberley and 136 km from Bloemfontein, Free State. Job Grade: C2 Reference Nr: KOFF028 JOB DESCRIPTION: Applications are invited from suitably qualified Electricians, who will be responsible for maintenance, repair and installation of electrical equipment and installations in the underground workings. Tasks and Responsibilities:  Repair, maintain and install relevant electrical equipment associated with mining operations  Implement recommendations and improvements as prescribed by OEM  Report defects and breakdowns to the foreman  Communicate with clients and supervisors to inform on maintenance activities and equipment reliability  Maintain and create job cards for unscheduled maintenance  Ensure compliance with legal requirements and mine policies, procedures and standards Minimum Requirements:  Grade 12/N3  Recognised Electrician Trade Test Certificate – with minimum N2 in Electrical Engineering  Recognised Apprenticeship  Valid driver’s license  2 years’ post qualification experience as an Electrician  Drill Rig experience will be an advantage  Underground experience will be an advantage  Experience on PLC systems will be an advantage Other Skills/Competencies:  Independent, proactive thinker and have the ability to do own job planning  Knowledge of relevant legislation  Good written and verbal communication skills in English  Meticulous in following equipment specifications  Sound engineering principles with regard to change management Koffiefontein Mine JV is an equal opportunity employer and reserves the right to appoint.
