Reference: JHB000055-Charl-1 Our client who is a leader in paper and pulp processing is looking for your expertise as a mechanical / piping design draughtsman to provide support to the projects department and mill maintenance department. Responsibilities Designing of Piping GA, Piping Isometric and Pipe support drawings in AutoCAD for projects and maintenance. Drawing support for 3D mechanical components (measure and design). Prepare layout drawings for the installation of new equipment across the mill. Prepare layout drawings for platforms and minor structures. Prepare civil layout drawings. Company standards, valves and piping standards to be adhered to. Knowledge of SANS347 is essential. Liaise with document controller to ensure drawing office procedures are adhered to and complied with. Liaise with vendors. Provide technical support to project team. Provide weekly progress updates to the drawing office manager. Report to drawing office manager. Effective management of drawings. Minimum Requirements South African Citizen N3 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Strong mechanical engineering background Minimum of 10-15 years' mechanical engineering experience - Not Negotiable Experience in piping, mechanical components, civil and structural steel drawings essential Knowledge of pulp and paper processes, including the equipment involved Site work and experience essential Own transport - not negotiable Attributes Attention to detail Ability to manage and prioritse multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced work environment Ability to liaise with plant personnel and vendors Team player Able to meet deadlines Operate with minimum supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills
