KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND TASKS The metrics & deliverables for the role are: Inventory Health (SKU's above/below SS), OTC /OTIF Service Level Achievement, Inventory Optimization (Value and turns) These metrics should be achieved without compromising the safety of our people and property, negatively affecting the quality of our products and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. They are also responsible for suggesting and driving continuous improvements in processes and people performance. Principal Accountabilities (Major end results the job is expected to achieve) Drives communication through S&OP processes to ensure cross functional alignment on demand consensus and ensures S&OP decisions are implemented. Responsible for leading supply planning processes, including Net Requirements and Distribution Planning across plants. Leads planning in generating rough cut capacity plans (RCCP) and MPS. Reviews constraints to balance Demand and Supply. Owns RCCP & MPS with risk/trade off assumptions and feasible supply plans based on capacity. Communicates/hands over RCCP/MPS plan to production. Responsible for the timely aggregation and dissemination of reports and communications regarding their areas of responsibility. Lead the Local Supply Reviews. Highlight and agree appropriate, timely actions with relevant functional area(s) i.e. production, procurement, customer service, sales. Mentor / Coach / perform line management duties as appropriate in support of members of the planning team. Develop monthly/weekly supply plans to meet forecasted demand requirements, while optimizing capacity, inventory, and financial objectives. Steer Aged (Excess and Obsolete) stock reviews with Sales (Demand Planning), supply chain colleagues and Finance teams, drive actions to prevent and reduce write offs or it necessary escalate issues. Identify and continuously improve planning tools and process. Through the business structure, work & collaborate with other functions (RA/QA/Technical) to ensure product availability & optimize service levels. Review and adjust safety and target stocks using the defined process. To apply high standards of occupational Health & Safety in the workplace to comply with company policy and procedures. To proactively manage and develop the performance of direct reports and team members through performance management, calibration, resource review and planning, capability, disciplinary, training and development to meet the needs of the business. Ensures professional development of self and direct reports Job Context / Key Challenges Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes used in the development and reporting of supply chain effectiveness. Facilitate and drive this understanding in others. Demonstrate knowledge of all parameters, factors, inputs and outputs required to develop effective supply plans and drive best practice and process improvements. Builds strong relationships with cross functional groups (including Regional Business Units, Supply Sites (including 3Pas), NPD, Procurement, export, and logistics teams), in order to collaborate with them to maximise KPI's and business results Build understanding of business plans and contribute to the strategic analysis and development of proposals to deliver these objectives. Knowledge and Experience (Knowledge and experience needed for satisfactory performance of the job) Experience of creating a high performing team, demonstrating the ability to lead a team in a fast changing environment. Logical approach to problems with a high preference to simplify. Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Organized, logical and structured approach to work organization and execution. College/University Degree required, in engineering or business. APICS or similar certification a plus, or willingness to pursue certification required. Experience using ERP and APS systems to manage production scheduling (SAP APO SNP, ECC PP, PPDS, etc.) is required. Experience with SAP is preferred. Demonstrable success and experience in managing Supply Planning, Inventory Management, MRP, Demand Management, Logistics and/or Purchasing required. High level of computer skills - MS Office applications, Tableau, SAP, Infor, Logility or other ERP systems. Strong interpersonal and English communication skills and high cultural awareness. The Planning Manager is responsible for providing analytical, data gathering, and technical support in supply planning, life cycle management, and inventory management. This role has accountability for converting the forecast derived through a robust S&OP process into supply plans which result in high customer service levels while maintaining inventories against set targets and which incorporate effective contingencies for appropriate risks and initiatives. Responsible for optimize stock holding levels within the total supply chain through a detailed understanding of the key planning parameters and end to end process (lead times, supply reliability, demand variability, service objectives etc) and in line with set Working Capital targets. This leader will work independently with minimal supervision performing end-to-end supply management activities including planning the internal production and contract manufacturing requirements. This role includes activities related to planning parameters creation and data maintenance, inventory modeling, data analysis, scenario planning, etc. In addition, this person will support the new products commercialization. Responsible for meeting departmental goals by leading a group through the daily activities required of their team. Successful candidate will coordinate with various departments to make sure planning activities are coordinated from forecast through the S&OP process to order scheduling. Responsibilities will include exception management, reporting, KPI measurements, and continuous improvement to close identified gaps and inefficiencies. Apply Now
